A person who is heterozygous for sickle cell is generally healthy because?

Wow- I have never heard of it being described that way. I would definitely bring it up to the teacher, bc that very statement he or she made might cause me to pick another answer. Heterozygous means the person is a carrier and does not exhibit the disease so it would not be in their blood. GL.
