What happened to foreigners living in Germany during WWII?
I was just wondering what happened to non Aryan and non Jewish people that were residing in Germany during the Third Reich. I have never read anything about it. The closest thing I have ever read about it was this status called "Mischling" or "mixed one" which was the child of a Jew and Aryan (I suppose conceived before it was against the law for Aryans and Jews to have relations). The status had to be applied for and was not easy to obtain, but if the status was obtained the individual could attend school and received better rations than a Jew. Was there a similar status for a non Jew, Christian, person who was definitely not an Aryan? Than you in advance for your answers.
