Can dog and cat fur be woven into yarn?

I have piles and piles of fur around my house and have been saving it for a potential craft project. I am trying to economize and yarn for knitting is so expensive. I was wondering if the lady that lives near me might be able to spin (with her wheel) my 20 bags of animal fur and my small satchel of human hair. Plus - wouldn't it be so very eco friendly and green? They should allow people to count that as a carbon credit. I wonder what it would be worth carbon wise. Anyone know?
